Tanita Seejarim

A muscle called "Tibialis Posterior"

This muscle is one of the primary culprits in contributing to Shin Splints, very easily confused with other calf muscles such as Gastrocnemius and Soleus
Tibialis Posterior is a small muscle found on the inner back part of the calf. It contributes to moving the ankle inwards and downwards and supporting the arch of the foot
A tight/weak Tibialis Posterior can result in:
Shin Splints
Plantar Fasciitis
Ankle sprain
Achilles Tendinitis
Flat foot
The patient below came in with severe calf pain after a run,if you see the below and after picture below,The Tibialis muscle took the normal alignment out on the LHS. This will in turn affect movement at the knee, hip and spine.
Treatment involved Dry Needling,IFC and Lyno to the Tibialis Posterior muscle
If you are suffering with any injuries such as the above, seek professional care
